The Cloud 11 launch event was held on February 7 in India by OnePlus. It launched OnePlus 11 5G and 11R at the event; in addition to smartphones, OnePlus also unveiled smart TV, tablet, and other products aiming to build up its hardware ecosystem.
OnePlus was founded in 2013 and has been integrated under the OPPO umbrella since Q3 2021. Initially focusing on smartphones, the brand has extended its product line-up to tablets, wearables, smartphone TV, and other products in recent years.
OnePlus 11 5G shares most specs with OnePlus 11R, except the processor, camera features, body size, and display panel size. The fact that it is the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone to receive the Snapdragon Spaces Ready certification will enable developers to realize their XR concepts and fully explore the possibilities of wearable AR. And it launched at a lower price than the OnePlus 10 Pro last year.
OnePlus 11R is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 and is designated as an India-only phone. The OnePlus 11R is the same phone which was launched in China on the same day. It is called OnePlus Ace 2 in China market; in India, OnePlus 11R is the standard name. The launch price of the OnePlus 11R is much lower than OnePlus 11 5G.
On February 16, the OnePlus 11 5G will go on sale in the global market. OnePlus 11R will become available on February 21 in India.
OnePlus is adopting a distinctive “1+4+X” ecosystem concept, which reflects in OnePlus’s growing portfolio. With this strategy, it would be feasible for OnePlus to retain even more loyal customers and attract even more people to its ecosystem so they can use more of the company’s products and services.
The OnePlus 11 Concept, which will be unveiled at MWC Barcelona 2023 later this month, was also teased during the Cloud 11 launch event by OnePlus.
