Old Cars spotlights a reader’s second chance 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.
Jim Thomas was one of the lucky ones to get a second chance on the “one that got away.”
Jim talks about the fountain of youth Roadrunner…
“Had one that I ordered in 1969 through the Military Sales Program In Vietnam. I picked it up in Chicago 25 April 1970. I drove it 1050 miles one-way on the weekends until I got out of the Marines in 1971. I traded it in with approximately 88,000 miles. I always wanted another one, but life goes on. Finally, 3 years ago I found this one in Spokane Washington. Almost the same as my original 383, B5 blue, pistol-grip 4-speed, air grabber! I’m very happy with it, I feel like I’m 21 again!”
