The Annual Lincoln Homecoming will be held August 7 through 11 at the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. Hosting the Homecoming will be the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club.
“This year’s Homecoming will feature a combination of new and old favorite events,” said Jim Blanchard, LZOC president and LMCF president, who is working with LMCF Chairman Paul Temple and the 2024 Homecoming committee on the annual Homecoming plans.
Something new is a trip to the R. E. Olds Transportation Museum in nearby Lansing on Thursday; it will be a charter bus trip with a luncheon included. Seating is limited so early sign-up is encouraged. The Olds Museum, predictably, contains many early automobiles including a variety of Oldsmobile and REO automobiles. Supper will be “on your own” that evening.
Friday’s activities will include a tour of the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, lunch and a tour of the historic W. K. Kellogg Manor House on Gull Lake. Seating is limited so early sign-up is recommended. The Kellogg tours will be followed by a private tour of the Bill Parfet automobile collection. That evening, there’ll be a barbecue dinner adjacent to the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum.
An all-Lincoln car show will take place on Saturday, hosted by the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club. Lincolns from 1920 to the present are invited to participate. All Lincoln clubs will be represented: Lincoln Owners Club, Lincoln and Continental Owners Club, Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club and Road Race Lincoln Registry. One need not be a member of the Lincoln clubs to participate in Saturday’s show. The Lincoln Motor Company will have a new vehicle product display and representatives on site, adjacent to the Lincoln museum.
Saturday evening’s dinner will feature Dave Perczak, Director, US Lincoln Sales & Service as the guest speaker. Participant Choice Awards will be presented following dinner.
On Sunday; the Lincoln car show continues adjacent to the Lincoln Museum. That morning the Lincoln Motor Car Foundation annual business meeting and LMCF board of trustees meeting will also be held. All meetings are open to Lincoln enthusiasts. At 1 p.m. the “Lincoln Star award Best in Show” will be announced, presented to one car from Saturday’s Participant Choice Award Winners.
