George Baptiste found the fountain of youth back in 1968! It comes in the shape of a ’68 Barracuda and is filled with 426 Hemi power. There is something to be said for getting the blood flowing with a Hemi… George is still loving his MoPar at the age of 91.

“I bought this Hemi Barracuda in 1968 from Idle Wild Motors in Queens New York. It’s a BO29 original 4-speed 426 HEMI.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Dallas 2023 Mecum Auction at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (my first-ever car auction). Now, I’m an antiques and collectibles kind of girl. My tastes tend to run to mid-century swung vases rather than vintage automobiles (although I am a sucker for a candy apple red ’64 Mustang).

In 1964 American Motors VP of styling created a Tarpon concept car. The Tarpon was created from the American platform to compete with the new Mustang pony car.
