Charlotte, NC – The Hornets Nest Region, Antique Automobile Club of America, will welcome more than 100,000 collector vehicle devotees to Charlotte AutoFair on the grounds of the world-famous Charlotte Motor Speedway for three fabulous days of automotive fun September 7-9, 2023 – Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Hornets Nest Region’s production of Charlotte AutoFair is a vast gathering of automobile enthusiasts who will find many outstanding collector vehicles for sale in the Car Corral on the Track Oval backstretch – everything is possible from early cars to great muscle cars! More fun is in store with the Orange Field and Green Field flea market areas covered with more than 1,500 vendor spaces of automotive parts and supplies – and possibly “barn find” vehicles. The event gates open for public admission at 8:00 AM – you can walk and shop the flea markets and car corral as long as you wish. Many vendors camp for the three days and stop selling when the buyers leave for dinner at dusk! It is always best to purchase flea market and car corral spaces in advance – vendors can enter on Wednesday for setup day! The April 2024 event will again be a four-day event with four flea market fields, plus the car corral on the backstretch track oval. A special event in April 2024 – Hornets Nest Region is hosting the AACA Grand National on Friday and AACA National on Saturday – hundreds of original and restored to original vehicles, all on the highway side of the speedway.
Mel Carson, Executive Director of the Hornets Nest Region said, “We are very happy to again produce Charlotte AutoFair to benefit hobbyists – Hornets Nest Region Members have a grand reputation for their fabulous collector vehicle productions.”
In addition, the speedway will sponsor displays on Saturday including many other car club displays with hundreds of great modified, customized, and original vehicles, and special displays in the garage area. Charlotte AutoFair admission fees and public parking fees are collected by the speedway owner.
