Get your old car fix at the Winter Carlisle Auto Expo. The event runs two days, January 28-29 at the Carlisle Expo Center.
Carlisle, PA – January is a time to start anew in many ways. For Carlisle Events, that means a NEW automotive event; appropriately branded Winter Carlisle Auto Expo. The event runs two days, January 28-29 at the Carlisle Expo Center, and offers an intimate parts shopping opportunity for those looking to re-stock their wares in the midst of project season.
The event may be new, but this is actually the second time the Carlisle Expo Center has hosted a January event. Last year, Auto Mania, an event historically held in Allentown, Pennsylvania and promoted by Carlisle Events, was held in Carlisle. The turnout, feedback, and enthusiasm was such that January now has two great automotive flea market based events, Auto Mania (returning to Allentown in 2022) and the aforementioned Winter Carlisle Auto Expo. An automotive flea market, or swap meet, is an outlet for those with an abundance of parts, automobilia, collectibles, merchandise, etc. that sells to buyers with specific needs, either for the home, the shop, or a project.
Ample space, heat and FREE parking welcome buyers and sellers alike to the event. Indoors at the Carlisle Expo Center, approximately 150 vending spaces staffed by a few dozen vendors will offer aisle upon aisle of parts, merchandise, collectibles, and more, while outdoors, even more vendors will be set up; some with cars for sale within the car corral.
Carlisle may be known as an automotive destination to car lovers from around the world between April and October, but this event is more suited for local and regional car enthusiasts. With easy access from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-81, Carlisle falls within a 50-mile radius of nearly 1,000,000 people, some of whom are certainly looking for a day out of the house and a road trip into the scenic and historic Cumberland Valley.
With the new event comes a new way to participate too, in that attendees can purchase admission tickets online and in advance of the event. This allows for a discount on the purchase. Kids 12 and under are admitted free and the facility is just one block west of the familiar Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Event hours vary but are as follows: (Friday/12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday/9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Available at the venue and online in the days leading up to the event will be a one-sheet map with vendor information and what they’ll be bringing to Winter Carlisle Auto Expo.
Finally, Carlisle Events and the Carlisle Expo Center remain COVID compliant and continue to follow CDC recommendations as part of current health safety protocols for the venue. Complete details on the COVID plan can be found at CarlisleExpoCenter.com. To learn more about the event itself or purchase discounted admission tickets, visit CarlisleEvents.com.
Carlisle Events is a partner or producer of over a dozen annual collector car/truck events.
