Old Cars spotlights a reader’s 1960 Mercury Monterey convertible.
Scott Trull decided to partake in due diligence on his 1960 Mercury convertible, and boy did it pay off.
This is what Scott had to say about his Mercury…
“I purchased this 1960 Mercury Monterey convertible 76A in October of 2004, and I cranked the car up in October of 2014.”
“After purchasing the manual for this car, on the 1st page it shows how to make sure the frame is straight. So it took a couple of years to dismantle the entire car. I did a complete frame-off restoration. Every part is new or refurbished. I won a trophy for best in show in 2016 in St. Petersburg Fla. I live in So. Ga and drove the car there and back with no problems.”
