Old Cars spotlights a reader’s 1966 Austin-Healey 3000.
Bernie Grabow might not have finished his restoration in record time, but like many of us, life tends to get in the way. Bernie did on the other hand, prove that all the hard work and perseverance does pay off in the end. After ten years of restoration the Austin-Healey turned out to be one heck of a car.
Here is what Bernie had to add about his 3000…
“I purchased it in 1987 and began a frame-off restoration in 1996 in my garage. Over the next 10 years, which included two relocations requiring the packing and shipping of my Healey and parts, and with the help of our local Ohio Valley Austin Healey Club tech team, I finished the restoration in 2007. It is a driver and an award winner.”
