The 1974 Corvette, Challenge Cars, Mean Corvettes, and More Planned in 2024
Carlisle, PA – Corvettes at Carlisle continues to lead the pack as Corvette-themed car shows go. The annual showcase at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds returns in 2024 and takes place August 22-24. This year, as part of the grand Carlisle Events 50th, Corvettes at Carlisle will have some 50th honors too, plus displays, reunions, and features that the 60,000+ guests have annually come to expect.
At this year’s event, guests can enjoy a gallery of 1974 cars, a perfect tie-in to the first year automotive events were ever held at the fairgrounds. This 1974 showcase includes a few dozen cars hand-picked by enthusiast Joe Clemente. For this year of the C3, guests can check out the variety of modifications made on the ‘74s, including a new rear bumper system, a new tailpipe layout, and other general rear-end modifications.
Challenge Cars are back and on full display too in 2024. Don’t miss the return of these popular racers that were featured in the 1988 and 1989 Corvette Challenge Series. In years past, the Challenge Car display has been very popular, both as an attraction and for those who own a Challenge Car. In a sea of Challenge Cars that have a similar build and look, it’s still a given that something rare and unique will still pop up in the display.

Speaking of displays, Chip’s Choice anchors Building T with a Mean Corvettes theme. Mean Corvettes can mean a variety of things, making this more of an open-to-interpretation type of display. With that in mind, Lance Miller is looking for Corvettes with a little grit, and a little ferocity to their façade…a mean-looking Corvette. Display applicants and enthusiasts alike should expect Corvettes that intimidate and mesmerize at the same time; the type of car that will make onlookers move to the right and stay clear!
Another amazing showcase of Corvettes comes to Carlisle by way of the NCRS Gallery and NCCC. The NCRS Gallery highlights a unique Corvette collection of NCRS judging classes and award winners. This includes Duntov Mark of Excellence Award® winners, McLellan Mark of Excellence Award® winners, NCRS-Chevrolet Bowtie Award® recipients for Preservation Excellence, American Heritage Award® recipients, and Sportsman Award® Corvettes. Not to be outdone, individuals who own top-of-the-line Corvettes can register for the NCCC Concours Judged Showfield. That means even more amazing rides are on the grounds, this time vying for a variety of cash prizes, including Best of Show.

Many other traditions help make Corvettes at Carlisle special. This includes the annual Friday evening Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation dinner, the Saturday evening Downtown Carlisle Corvette Parade, Park, and Party, a People’s Choice Best of Show contest that transitions from social media to real life and is supported by Aerolarri Wheels, the Lingenfelter Performance King of the X autocross contest, seminars, Team Chevrolet, product walkarounds, a rolling exhaust, and more.

Gates open at 7 a.m. each day and kids 12 and under are admitted FREE. Carlisle Events, celebrating 50 years in 2024, is a partner or producer of over a dozen annual collector car/truck events.
