The second new temporary exhibit, Factory Drag Cars, showcases powerful, high-performance dragsters. These classic muscle cars are machines built for speed. In the 1960s, the National Hot Rod Association offered a competition drag-racing category called Factory Experimental, allowing stock automobiles that use each manufacturer’s optional equipment. Built for racing, these cars represent powerful designs. Factory Drag Cars opens July 11 and runs through November 5, 2023, and celebrates the ingenuity of automobile manufacturers.
